The House in the Pines is a psychological thriller about Maya who was haunted by her past. Unexplainable things happens to her when she was 17 year old, blank and forgotten time, and witnessing her bestfriend died with unknown cause. Maya, now an alcoholic and addicted to an anti anxiety drug decided to faced her past and to find out what really happens to her and that day.

The storyline was intriguing but it doesn't have the explosion that it wanted the reader to experience. I was not happy with the ending but still I enjoyed reading this one. 3/5

Review: Leave No Trace

Leave No Trace by A.J. Landau My rating: 4 of 5 stars Leave No Trace by A.J. Landau is packed with action, some thrilling moments and a big mystery for these agents to solve. I didn't know an investigator for the Natl Parks Service was a thing but now I do, and we have one as the main character here. Michael and Gina who works hand in hand to solve these mystery. I loved the representation of the Statue of Liberty mentioned at the end of the book. Also I loved how they put glimpse of historical background before the chapters. I unexpectedly enjoyed this fast paced thrilling novel. Will totally recommend it to my action thriller book lover friends! View all my reviews
